Service for two people consisting of a teapot, sugar bowl, two cups on under cups.
Porcelain painted in polychromy, with prevalence of green; in the central parts within the reserve "Two male and two female figures" in rural landscape.
Teapot h. cm. 22; sugar bowl h. cm. 19; cups, h. cm. 10; saucers Ø cm. 15. Cond: very good; slight restoration in the teapot lid.
French porcelain painted in Naples by Raffaele Jovine; 1830 approx.
The porcelain is probably imported but was painted in Naples by Raffaele Jovine, inspired by the drawings of Saverio della Gatta in the early decades of the nineteenth century. The teapot is compared with a teapot of similar shape and decoration, sold in the auction Porro & C., May 16, 2006, lot 45.
