Set of 2 Chinese Paintings, Jing Quan
鏡泉 花卉蟲草冊頁兩開 A set of 2 Chinese watercolor and ink paintings on silk by Jing Quan. The paintings depict a pair of flying insects with grass and a turtle among lingzhi. Each painting has 3 seals and is mounted on a silk backing.
Dimensions are: 11 inches tall X 11 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Both are in good overall condition with a small tear in the turtle.
Provenance: From the estate of Lee Yuhuang. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before he emigrated to San Francisco. While in San Francisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy, a practice he had begun in Hong Kong. 拍品400至430來自李譽煌先生舊藏。李先生是香港知名藝術家，是嶺南畫派傳人。在移居舊金山之後，他在舊金山傳授中國繪畫技巧，並繼續收藏了許多中國書畫。
