Set of 8 French Empire Dining Chairs

A set of 8 French Empire period wooden chairs, 2 armchairs and 6 side chairs. Note the graceful swan motif on the chairbacks, and the charming flower detail at the joints. We believe these to be recently painted and faux distressed. The seats have been newly stuffed and reupholstered with an attractive high loft which gives them a slight air of formality. All the chairs are in good antique condition. One has a repair on the back, shown in thumbnail photo. Dimensions: side chairs - 21.5" wide X 18.5 deep X 33.5" high with the same 19" seat height; armchairs - 18.5" x 18" x 19" seat height x 33.5" back height.
