Frankreich, rote Pinselmarke 1804-1814, rechteckiger Korpus mit leicht gewölbtem Deckel, feiner polychromer Aufglasurbemalung, Reliefgoldmalerei und Messingmontur, umlaufend russischgrüne Fondfelder mit ovalen bzw. rautenförmigen Reserven, darin Portrait des Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) als uniformierter König der Franzosen und seine Gemahlin Joséphine de Beauharnais (1763-1814) mit Krone, auf der Außenwandung Trophäen- und Vasenmotive, gerahmt von Goldkartuschen, filigranen Arabesken und Bordüren, im Inneren farbige Blumenbuketts und Streublümchen, die vergoldete Messingmontierung mit Relieffries, Medusenhaupt-Schließe und rückseitigem Scharnier, seltene Deckeldose, guter altersgemäßer Zustand, Maße 6,5 x 15 x 9 cm.

France, red brush mark 1804-1814, rectangular body with a slightly domed lid, fine polychrome overglaze decoration, relief gilding and brass mountings, with Russian green background panels running all the way round, featuring oval and diamond-shaped reserves containing a portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) as the King of the French in uniform and his wife Joséphine de Beauharnais (1763-1814) wearing a crown; on the outer wall, trophy and vase motifs framed by gold cartouches, filigree arabesques and borders; inside, coloured bouquets and scattered blossoms; the gilded brass mount features a relief frieze, a Medusa-head clasp and a hinge on the reverse; a rare lidded box, in good condition for its age, dimensions 6.5 x 15 x 9 cm.
