Seymchan Meteorite Sphere Pallasite, PMG Magadanskaya Oblast, Russia - (62° 54'N, 152° 26'E) Found: June 1967 Weighing in at nearly 1,000 grams, this astounding otherworldly sphere has been crafted out of one of the most attractive pallasitic meteorite: Seymchan. The hefty baseball-sized silver orb exhibits an intense "latticework" design known as the Widmanstätten pattern. This incredible pattern is created when the octahedron meteorite is formed. The thick banding present truly creates a breathtaking piece of manmade art. There are a few darker natural areas creating a nice contrast to this superb example. Overall Measurements: 2.40 inches (6.09 cm) in diameter, weighs 914 grams [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
