Sideboard with 2 doors - Oak - Late 18th century
Buffet of oak with 2 doors and 3 top drawers. Made of oak. Original hinges and key plates in brass. Locks with keys have ever been renewed. Everything works properly. Can be used immediately. The construction of the sliders suggests that the cabinet was made in the Netherlands. By the material (a. o. hand sawn planks from the stem, way of planing, tool tracks to the profiles) we can situate the cabinet in the 18th century. The window in the centre of the cabinet is going towards 1800. Conclusion: probably made around 1790. The piece has been French polished. Small restorations have been done, normal for a piece of furniture of this age: to legs, sliders, locks. Can be delivered for a fee in Belgium and the Netherlands.
