Silver-gilt "golden rose", gift of Pope Clement XIV to Queen Maria Carolina of Naples and the Two-Sicilies, dated and located Rome, 1773
resting on a lapis base, the shaped foot inscribed CLEMENS.XIV / PONTIFEX.MAXIMUS, ROMA, D.G. SICILIAR.ET.HIER / REG., 1773, MARIA.CAROLINA, A.IV on a matted ground, the rounded stem's base decorated with three cherubs heads and foliage cartouches on a matted ground, the upper part formed with five roses, inscribed with ink under the bae P.P / M. Spinola / Rosa d'oro, only one unidentified mark partly visible on the base laden (maybye the Toretta mark's upper part for Genoa)

SICILIAR.ET.HIER / REG., 1773, MARIA.CAROLINA, A.IV sur fond amati, la base du fût bombée ornée de trois têtes de chérubins et de cartouches feuillagés sur fond amati, le fût orné de trois têtes de chérubins, la partie supérieure formée de cinq roses, inscrit à l'encre sous la base P.P / M. Spinola / Rosa d'oro, uniquement insculpée d'un poinçon non identifié en partie lisible sur la bâte de la base (peut-être la partie haute du poinçon Toretta pour la ville de Gênes)

Only stamped with an unidentified mark (gothic E?) One leaf with a tear. Some leaves might have been resoldered. Two leaves possibly missing. On base, one cherub head bumped.
