Silver handle basket - .800 silver - Lutz & Weiss, Pforzheim - Germany - First half 20th century
Silver handle basket. Ajour sawn basket, the bottom finished with a "subtle" pearl rim. The lot is in a very neat condition with minor signs of wear and scratches mentioned for full disclosure. The height including the handle is approx. 20 cm. The handle is fixed. Very stable because of this as well. The height measured without handle is approximately 8 cm measured from the middle and 6 cm from the sides. The surface- area of the basket is approximately 19 cm x 13. 5 cm (Length x Width) measured from the top. The Lutz & Weiss company was founded in 1882 and has a very good reputation. Made of 800/1000 pure silver. This basket carries various German silver hallmarks: moon, crown, 800, Firm name (Lutz & Weiss) and the ornate "V". So, imported and tax paid in the period between 1906-1953. Will be packaged with the utmost care prior to registered shipment.
