Simone Post - Rug
Rug made of textile waste from textile producer Vlisco, textile producer Vlisco has existed since 1846 and makes wax print fabrics for the West and Central African market. The design has been awarded several awards, including a Dutch Design Award and was purchased by several museums. The rug can be used both as a rug and as a tapestry. This is a unique specimen with blue and orange rings, such a type of colour has not been created before. What is extra special about this rug is that it is made of a textile that was also a print design by Simone self but ended up in the production at the misprints. This makes this a kind of double designed rug by Simone. Each rug is made by hand in Rotterdam and is always unique because it works with rejected batches of textiles.
