Six 19th century Glasgow silver teaspoons, in a Queen's style pattern, one dated 1837 and two dated 1839, all with maker's mark J.M JR, possibly John Murray or John Muir, the other three dated 1861, possibly the same maker's mark but partly overstamped. Together with a set of four late George III silver teaspoons in Fiddle Thread pattern, hallmarked William Eley, William Fearn & William Chawner, London 1808. Weight 8.22 ozt (255.6 grams).

Condition Report:
- All spoons displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.
- Most with some heavier wear to bowls, especially around the edges and tips, where the metal appears thinner in some areas.
- Some surface wear and rubbing to terminal decoration on Glasgow spoons with some slight loss of detail.
- The 1837 Glasgow spoon is a slightly different design to the other five. This one bears a monogram while others with engraved initial 'S'.
- Hallmarks mostly clear and legible. The 1861 spoons appear to be overstamped J.M.C?
- London spoons with crests to terminal reverse, these fairly worn. Hallmarks also heavily rubbed in places.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
