Keiller as motorcycle trophies, the largest by William Hutton & Sons, Birmingham 1920, unengraved, 20cm (8in) high; the one with a cover a BARC Brooklands prize of 1914 by William Comyns & Sons, London 1914, 22cm (8 3/4in) high, 1971g (63.4 oz)
Clifton Macnee Keiller (1888-1968) of GWK cars. In February 1908 he began a three year pupillage in the engineer's office at GWR's Swindon Works. J. Talfourd Wood, the W in GWK, was a pupil at Swindon at the same time. 1911 he was living at Springfield, 19 Brackley Road, Beckenham, Kent. The prototype GWK car was built in a stable in Beckenham. In 1921 he married, at Wandsworth, to Doris M. Lorden.
