Sonia Delaunay-Terk had a passion for costume design and this charming art deco piece is one of the abstract figure studies that she executed during the 1920's. Elements of her signature abstract-geometrical style are incorporated here into a figurative composition. Connoisseurs of Modern Art will recall that Sonia Delaunay married the French Abstract-Cubist painter Robert Delaunay.
