B. Prabha was a major 20th-century female Indian artist. She studied at Nagpur School of Art before moving to Mumbai where she graduated from the prestigious Sir J. J. School of Art. By the time of her death, her work had been shown in over 50 exhibitions, and is represented in some important collections, including the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi.
