Southwestern Sterling Turquoise Cuff Bracelet, Snake

[ translate ]

Southwestern Sterling Turquoise Cuff Bracelet, Snake Eyes, 6.25", 1960's-1970's, 17.93gr. This is a double band, and is 1/2" wide with a dozen appx. 3.5mm turquoise snake eyes stone. This is a Zuni style bracelet. The inside measurement is 5" with an opening at 1.25" for a total of 6.25". This is more for a slender wrist. You should be able to slide it on without trying to spread it open as over time, that can cause fractures. Each of the turquoise snake eye stones are sawtooth bezel-set - the are recessed slightly from the edges and have a rope accent down each side. The band is 1/2" across and tapers down to about 1/4" at the back of the wrist. Age is appx. 1960's. It is not signed by the artist. Definite great Southwestern/Native American piece. This is in good to very good condition with only light wear and typical tarnish that can be polished to be bright and look new but that wipes away it's history/character and most vintage buyers prefer it as is. This came from a PA estate where the person had quite a few Southwestern/Native American pieces that I was fortunate enough to get.
