Spanish Line-Inlaid Walnut Vargueno on Table
17th century, the case with a lift top and fall front opening to reveal an interior fitted with drawers and a door, the interior and case adorned with pierced metal rosettes backed by crimson cloth, now mounted on an antique table with scroll front legs and a trestle base.

Condition Report: In good "as found" condition. The top case exhibiting considerable wear, mars, shrinkage and indications of age and use, along with some scattered minor restorations, most notably to the inlay. Some scattered minor insect damage. The top exhibits a straight-line shrinkage crack along the seam where two boards are joined. The fall front is missing some nails for its hinges. The iron lock is secured with modern nails. It retains a functional iron key. The interior drawers appear to be later. One has a detached but present molding. The later, but old, base exhibits some side-to-side wobble in its legs but appears to remain quite functional. There are scattered mars, shrinkage and wear throughout, most notably losses to both front feet.
