Spectacular chandelier - specially produced for a Ludwigshafen aircraft builder family. Unique piece! Mouth blown crystal glass with 13 light bulbs (E27), Germany, 1970s, Doria/Fürth, 2nd of a total of 7 chandeliers, 3-story.
This chandelier by the lighting manufacturer DORIA is a timeless masterpiece of German furniture and home design and a high-end product of the era of tubular design. The manufacturer received more than 30 international design awards from 1961 onwards. The light sculpture impresses with extraordinary elegance and it is made with the finest materials and perfect craftsmanship precision. The lighting is in near-perfect original condition. It has been carefully cleaned and meticulously technically inspected. The painted metal surfaces and steel hooks show signs of wear (scratches and minimal corrosion), which in no way affect the overall appearance of the chandelier.
The precious 57 (+2 for reserve) hand-blown crystal tubes (the very rare variety with inner spinning threads)
are flawless (36 cm long). The diameter is approx. 50 cm, the height of the glass body with tubes approx. 92 cm and the total weight approx. 47-50 kg.
