Title: Square in a Square/Economy
Description: Prussian bllue and buff prints, and madders form this simple design from New Jersey, possible by someone of Dutch heritage, where the design was classsically traditional. The 4" border is a single madder print with foulard figures in a half-drop repeat. Entirely hand pieced and joined, hand quilted in 1.5" diagonal lines that cross into diamonds in the borders. Some disintegration in 6 - 8 triangles and one center square. Large water stain and storage discoloration on the back, plus an unidentified ink inventory number.
