A unique solitaire star sapphire ring, in 21Kt gold, Europe, circa 1840-1890.; The enchanting archaeological revivalist setting has been expertly crafted out of 21 karat yellow gold with superb leaf or feather patterning to the upper shank. Bezel set is solitaire oval cabochon cut bluish-gray star sapphire totaling, approximately, 1.81 carats.; The cocktail ring is in excellent antique condition showing expected signs of wear. Mentioned for accuracy please note the natural blemishes to the gemstone. It weighs, approximately, 7.64 grams and is US ring size 6 (UK ring size L 1/2). The face of the ring measures 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) tall by 0.39 inches (1 cm) wide. It is not marked and tested positive for 21K gold.
