Description Buddha in bronze, in a seated position, taking the Earth as witness, in the Chiang Saen style. This position evokes the awakening of Buddha and his victory over the God Mara (Maraisijaya Mudra) . This statuette presents the attributes of representations in the La Na style. Chiang Saen flourished in Siam between the 13th and the 18th centuries, under Khmer, Sukhothai, Indian, Burmese and Sri Lankan influences. Dating: 19th century. Condition: In very good overall condition.
