FON Sanctuary Statue Voodoo in Africa is a religion strongly implanted in Togo and Benin, practiced in sanctuaries or temples by divine priests. Its purpose is essentially to protect its followers against all the misfortunes of existence and to ensure their health, love, prosperity and fertility . . . These sanctuaries contain statues, representing gods, which are invoked during rituals accompanied by sacrifices. These statues are endowed with mystical powers, each nail or pin pressed, each padlock attached and closed, refer to a particular use. So here it is an important statue, often consulted and whose power and efficiency were recognized. The statue is surmounted by a metal tray, inspired by the Assen for the ancestors. Beautiful face, with blue patina, trapped chains. Notice the second face on the emerging side of the nails.
