Raku fired ceramic
Literature: In 2017 Schor began a series of small figures made out of rolled and folded clay. Following no prescribed rule for sculpting , each figure became unique, its pose evoking the statue’s own state of mind. Finished in a Raku firing, the glaze and the smoke combine to enhance the form and bring its curves and crevices to life. Although the creation of each figure is time consuming, each piece is carefully and intentionally spontaneous, catching a moment in time.
