Group of 3 steel engravings from an 1846 book, all signatories of Declaration of Independence. Engravings by J. B. Longacre. 5 1/2" X 9 1/2" each. * various foxing on each due to age. Charles Carroll ( 1737 –1832 ) known as Charles Carroll of Carrollton or Charles Carroll III to distinguish him from his similarly-named relatives, was a wealthy Maryland planter & an early advocate of independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain & one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Stone (1743 – 1787 ) was an American planter & lawyer who signed the United States Declaration of Independence as a delegate for Maryland. He later worked on the committee that formed the Articles of Confederation in 1777. He acted as President of Congress for a short time in 1784. William Paca ( 1740 – 1799 ) was a signatory to the United States Declaration of Independence from Maryland, a delegate to the First Continental Congress & the Second Continental Congress from Maryland, Governor of Maryland & a United States District Judge of the United States District Court. Â
