Sterling Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace, Peyote
Vintage Southwestern Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace, Five inlaid turquoise chip peyote birds. 16", Navajo Pearl silver beads and a naja. Weight is 77.30 grams. The silver beads are 8mm wide. The peyotes are approximately 1.5" long - they are curved and have inlaid turquoise in the wings, tail, and eyes. The naja with the center peyote mounted over it is appx. 1-3.8" long and 2.5" wide - it has three silver beads that hand from it in the center. The birds are thick at nearly 2mm thick. This is a sturdy made necklace with a double strand of beads at the front, single at the back and a hook clasp. It is not signed. I've had similar to this before that were Navajo. I believe the age is approximately the 1970's. It is in very good condition with only the typical patina/tarnish. That can be cleaned if desired. This came from a PA collector.
