Sugar bowl - .800 silver - Kingdom of Sardinia - Turin - Italy - Early 19th century

A rare historical piece that testifies to the occupation of Northern Italy by Napoleon Bonaparte in the early 19th century. Napoleon's officials set up several departments in Italy (as well as in France) . The sugar bowl for sale features the hallmarks of the Department of Po, city of Turin. The hallmarks on the sugar bowl were the ones in force from 1803 to 1809. It shows slight deformations at the handles and lid.
