A superb portrayal of an English Staffordshire seated white & gilt spaniel dog, with an embossed No 2 underneath. Mid 19th Century ( 1850's ). Featured in the A-Z of Staffordshire Dogs by Clive Mason Pope. Good coloring & facial expression. Embossed collar, lock & chain with gilt. Overall height approx 10". Max base sizes of about 6" X 3 3/4". Considering the age, the overall condition is good and is not subject to any major blemishes except for a few fine & minor hairlines underneath & due to age, subject to overall fine crazing.
