Swayyah 003 Lunar Meteorite Lunar (feldspathic breccia) Western Sahara - (26° 28' 12"N, 8° 45' 36"W) Found: 2020 This amazing specimen is quite unique, with a superb crust that covers most of the textural exterior with the exception of a large patch, where the interior composition of the meteorite has been revealed. With such duality, the piece is something special already and also features a cut and polished window surface that can function as a flat base for this rock from space. This meteorite end cut of sorts represents the lunar variety Swayyah 003, which was found in 2020 in Western Sahara. This dark blackish example with a yellowish-green interior weighs 181 grams. A feldspathic breccia, this is solid, unusual, and complicated, and the specimen originated on the Moon. This atypical lunar meteorite belongs in a broader collection.
