Another stunning sterling silver flatware set in excellent condition by Frances Premier Silversmiths - Emile Puiforcat, Cardeilhac (Christofle) and Charles Tirbour. The elegant melon forks in a complementary pattern bear the Puiforcat manufacturer's hallmark in addition to the French Government's Head of the Minerva-1 hallmark. The dinner knives and luncheon knives bear the "YN " manufacturer's Hallmark in addition to the French government's Head of the Minerva-1 hallmark. All other pieces, except of the dainty bonbon serving set bear the Charles Tirbour manufacturer's hallmark in addition to the French government's Head of the Minerva-1 hallmark. The magnificent storage chest is not the original storage chest custom made for the set as some of the serving pieces don't fit. But the chest holds the set quite comfortably. This set is of exceptional quality and craftsmanship and there are no monograms on any of the pieces nor evidence that a monogram has been removed.
