λ TWO JAPANESE IVORY NETSUKE EDO AND MEIJI PERIOD, 18TH AND 19TH CENTURY One carved as Tobosaku Sennin, the tall sage with a joyful expression holding a large Peach of Immortality before him, the other carved as a reclining goat, its head turned over its back; together with a Chinese seal, possibly made of narwhal tusk, carved as a ferocious-looking lion dog with a paw resting on a ball, raised on an octagonal base and with a large character underneath, 8cm max. (3) Provenance: from an English private collection, West Yorkshire, formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
