In the spring of their lives, the two young women in “Spring” (Printemps) live contented with their newly discovered sexuality. They cling to each other, pushing to the surface the wanton delectation of their newfound discovery of self. Their innocence and coyness display the artists apparent appreciation of two young women blooming like a flower in spring.
