It features the origins and first appearances of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Splinter, and Shredder, and had an initial print run of just 3,000 copies (that's all the boys could afford to print, after borrowing some cash from Kevin Eastman's uncle). The wraparound cover is by Kevin Eastman, and the story and interior art are by Eastman and Peter Laird. Currently the #2 comic on Overstreet's list of Top 25 Copper Age Comics.
