The Marc Wolff Collection: Three Original Production Scripts: Escape to Athena (1979); Alive (1979); Green Ice (1981) - Escape to Athena (1979) by Edward Anhalt, brad bound within yellow card covers, production code number 84 in blue ink to title-page, 115-pages on white sheets with buff revision sheets, and the film title handwritten in black marker pen across the spine, 22 x 28cm. Directed by George Cosmatos and produced by David Niven Jnr., starring Roger Moore, Telly Savalas and David Niven who agreed to be in the film, not only as his son was producer, but he liked the idea of returning to Rhodes where he had made The Guns of Navarone. Alive (1979) Production Treatment, Screenplay Adaptation by Steven and Audrey Thaler Salzburg, based on the book by Piers Paul Read, which tells the true story of a Uruguayan rugby team's crash in the Andes mountains in 1972. Edgar J. Scherick Associates, The Burbank Studios, California, and R.S.A. Productions, London, dated November 20, 1979, unbound, annotated in pencil to title-page, 84-pages on loose white sheets, production title written in blue ink on a white label slipped into the spine, 22 x 30cm; together with, Marc Wolff’s detailed handwritten notes titled to first page ‘Alive Script Break Down-Helicopter Shots’, 4-pages on A4 lined notepaper, each page with headed columns ‘Scene No., Location, Action, and Comments’. Green Ice (1981) Final Shooting Script for the adventure film starring Ryan O’ Neal and Omar Sherif, from the novel by Gerald A. Browne, Screenplay by Ray Hassett, Anthony Simmons, and Robert De Laurentis, ITC Entertainment Ltd., dated 15th April, 1980, brad bound within yellow card covers with ownership of Marc Wolff in blue ink, 121-pages on pink and blue sheets, with film title handwritten in blue marker pen to label loosely slipped into spine, 22 x 28.5cm. (3) Provenance: The Collection of Marc Wolff, Award winning Aerial Unit Director/Stunt Pilot. Marc Wolff has worked with Directors including, Stephen Spielberg, Ridley Scott, George Lucas, Stanley Kubrick, Mike Nichols, Kenneth Branagh, Danny Boyle, Ron Howard, Brian De Palma, J.J. Abrams, Oliver Stone, Steven Soderbergh, Wolfgang Petersen, Sam Mendes, Taylor Hackford, Mike Leigh, Michael Apted, Alejandro Inarritu, Mike Newell, Bryan Singer, Roger Spottiswoode, Tony Scott, Robert Zemeckis, Doug Liman, Christopher McQuarrie, Jan De Bont, Zack Snyder, Edward Zwick, Justin Lin, Jon Favreau, Matthew Vaughn, Guy Richie, David Yates, Dexter Fletcher and Martin Campbell, to name a few. In 1990, Marc was the first person to fly a hot air balloon in Red Square, Moscow for Disney’s film, The Time Keeper, and during the 2012 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony, he flew the helicopter for the section flying along the River Thames, the pre-recorded sequence known as ‘Happy and Glorious’, flying straight through Tower Bridge, and piloted the helicopter the late Queen Elzabeth II appeared to parachute from above the Olympic Stadium. Marc Wolff’s awards include, The BSC Award for 'Technical Excellence and Contribution to the Art of Aerial Cinematography', The International Moving Image Society Award for 'Services to the International Film Industry ‘, and 1993 Award for Best Stunt for his work as aerial coordinator and stunt pilot in the film Cliffhanger, when his team transferred stunt man, Simon Crane, from the back of a DC9 airliner to the door of a Lockheed Jetstar business jet. The stunt performed near Durango, Colorado in November 1992 was a year in planning and cost one million dollars to rehearse and shoot. signs of wear to card covers and some curling to page corners from use on the production, internally clean and bright and overall good conditions.
