The complete set, comprising eight engravings by Jerome Wierix, before 1590, very good impressions of New Hollstein’s first states, from the first edition published by Philips Galle in Antwerp, three plates on paper with various watermarks, each unframed
each plate: approx. 190 by 132mm 7½ by 5⅛in
each sheet: approx. 262 by 195mm 10¼ by 7¾in
Condition Report:
Each sheet with wide margins, in good condition apart from some tiny losses and minor defects to left sheet edges associated with previous binding, a couple of very small spots of staining and surface dirt to the margins in places, each unframed.
