Plate size: 10 x 9 in / Sheet size: 14 x 13 in inch
Activism and graffiti art: two terms that speak for the American world-famous artist Keith Haring. He studied at the School of Visual Arts, a private college for art and design, in New York. The pop culture legend is by far one of the most important representatives of pop art and is still very much celebrated today, as he was during his lifetime. The proof is a real rarity: Haring's street art is exceptionally on paper and is also accompanied by a text - set in red. The artwork is not only marked P.P (printers proof) in pencil on the lower left, but also bears Haring's signature on the opposite image corner: Attributes that make the etching more valuable as well as original. The exhibit is part of a portfolio of 16 drawings for The Valley, including text. Haring made these in his New York studio in April 1989 and they were subsequently printed by M. Payne.
