The lot ‘Il piccolo museo di scienze naturali’ is a classic example of the collection of natural objects constituting a ‘room of wonders’. The largest container is a glass dome with a diameter of 14 cm and about 26 cm high and a weight of 1142 g; it contains a conglomerate of Ammonites from Morocco. The picture containing the bivalve mollusc is 30 x 30 x 3. 5 cm and weighs 866 g; it is a beautiful specimen of Spondylus imperialis from the Philippines. The showcase containing Scaphopoda and Polyplacophora is 24 x 33 x 1. 8 cm and weighs 535 g; it can be displayed hung or placed on a library or on a desk because it is equipped with a mobile support; the contained specimens are from: Philippines, Florida, Korea, Japan and Canada (Vancouver) . The picture containing the migratory Locust is 25 x 25 x 4. 2 cm and weighs 658 g; the insect comes from Italy, Tyrrhenian Sicily, in the province of Messina. Packaging and shipping will be very accurate and traceable.
