Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 21 x 16, January 8, 1908. President Roosevelt appoints Robert F. Schaeffer as "Postmaster at Bangor, in the County of Northampton, State of Pennsylvania." Neatly signed at the conclusion by President Roosevelt and countersigned by Postmaster General George von L. Meyer. The gold foil seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In fine condition, with a short tear to the left edge, and a couple of small edge chips.
