Stunning opera length South Sea pearl strand necklace with a diamond pave clasp created by Tiffany & Co. in 2005.
Versatile, classy and timeless! The size and perfect matching of fifty-five pearls graduating from 17.2 mm to 15.2 mm are breathtaking! The pearls have white overtone and exceptional luster. It took Tiffany & Co. four years to compose the strand!
The necklace is featured on page 75 (see picture 9) of the book "Tiffany Style" (see picture 10) where Tiffany's design director John Loring gathered the most memorable pieces ever produced by the company. The necklace is also photographed on Sara Jessica Parker on page 265 (see picture 11).
The necklace is finished with an elegant diamond and platinum clasp. The diamonds are round brilliant cut, E-F color, VVS clarity, total weight approximately 6.67 carats.
The strand is 37-1/4 inches (94.5 centimeters) long. The clasp is 1/2 inch (1.5 centimeters) in diameter.
Weight 331.7 grams.
The clasp is stamped with Tiffany & Co. maker's mark, serial number and hallmark for platinum.
The necklace comes in an original Tiffany& Co. box and pouch.
In great condition; wear consistent with age and use (please see pictures for details).
