Tommaso Senatori (XIX-XX) - Miracolo di Gaspare Del Bufalo

[ translate ]

Provenance: private collection.

Measurements without frame: 80. 5 x 125. 5 cm

The work of excellent artistic and chromatic rendering is in a good state of conservation, with signs of aging visible in the photos. The paint film still adheres well to the original support.

Upon analysis with Wood's lamp, the author's signature appears to be autograph and coeval with the creation of the painting.

There is little information about the author, rare and presented on the market for the first time. He was certainly active in central-southern Italy at the beginning of the 20th century.

The scene is described by an inscription in Latin engraved on the beautiful frame that accompanies the painting: as a storm approaches, Gaspare Del Bufalo (then Blessed) wards off the bad weather from the population intent on a votive procession to the Virgin.

The frame shown in the photos above was added to the artwork by the seller or a third party. The frame is provided to you at no additional cost so it is ready to display as soon as it arrives. The frame is included as a courtesy and is not considered an integral part of the artwork. Therefore, any potential damage to the frame that does not affect the artwork itself will not be accepted as a valid reason to open a complaint or request cancellation of the order.

Accurate packaging and tracked shipping are guaranteed.

In-person pickup is available exclusively to shoppers in nearby areas. Collection by buyers' personal couriers is not accepted.

The work is accompanied by a certification of authenticity.
