Topaz Dassu, Braldu Valley, Skardu District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan "A 4 cm sharp shiny transparent gem crystal of reddish amber topaz. Bought the specimen from Azmat Umar in Peshawar, Pakistan." - Rock H. Currier This is a very nice, gemmy Topaz with a little bit different coloration. Faces are quite lustrous and sharp. Not BIG, but a better than average example from the pegmatites of the Skardu area. One of Rock's "souvenirs" from one of his round the world mineral adventures. It complements the pair of Pakistani pajamas he had made for himself when he was in the area.
