Travel Poster Children

Original vintage folded map of a Children's Map of London, printed and published by John Bartholomew & Son Ltd of Edinburgh. Collins Bartholomew, formerly John Bartholomew and Son, is a long-established map publishing company originally based in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is currently a subsidiary of HarperCollins. Asides from the main landmarks of central London, the coloured map contains other drawings and illustrations that include Gog and Magog on either side, two legendary monstrous giants often associated with London. At the bottom of the map, it is marked that 'All author's royalties on this plan are being given to The Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, London'. Good condition, pinholes and stains around pinholes at margins, few minor tears along the folds, backed on original muslin.
