Travel Poster TWA Airlines England Marlow Constellation

Original vintage travel advertising poster for Trans World Airlines, and featuring a painting by S. Greco, of Marlow On The Thames, a town in Buckinghamshire, UK with a TWA Lockheed Constellation plane flying above it. Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline which operated from 1930 until 2001. With American, United, and Eastern, it was one of the "Big Four" domestic airlines in the United States formed by the Spoils Conference of 1930. Howard Hughes acquired control of TWA in 1939, and after World War II led the expansion of the airline to serve Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, making TWA a second unofficial flag carrier of the United States after Pan Am. The artwork features the landscape of Marlow, with the river Thames, Marlow All Saint's Church and the Marlow lock, with a pair of canal boats. Horizontal.
