Flintlock cavalry Blunderbuss or Escopette pistol - Ottoman Empire / Turkey circa 1800: Barrel length: 28 cm Rifle length: 49 cm Calibre: approx. 15 mm Ottoman /Turkish flintlock blunderbuss from the early 19th century. Round, smooth barrel with hallmark in Arabic, silver-plated and flared at the muzzle. Some of the fittings are in decorated silver-plated metal; brass trigger guard and recoil pad. Lock engraved with geometric and floral patterns and a half-moon. Silver star on both sides of the stock. Functional weapon, firm springs. Please have a look at the pictures.
