Oceania, Papua New Guinea, ca. 20th century CE. A pair of carved, matching wooden figures. First, an anthropomorphic standing figure with white, red, and ocher yellow details. Second, a shield-shaped object with a human head projecting from its upper side, also decorated with white and red. Size of largest (shield): 6.55" W x 28.35" H (16.6 cm x 72 cm)
