London, 1813-1814, by John W. Story & William Elliott, h. 2", l. 3-5/8", w. 2-3/4";
the other pair hallmarked London, 1826-1827, by John Hayne, h. 2", l. 3-7/8", w. 2-5/8";
each of rectangular trencher form with gadrooned rim and gilt interior, above a plinth base raised by four shell- or acanthus-crested lion's paw feet.
15.59 total t. oz.
Provenance: Nicholas Mellors, Nottinghamshire, January 4, 2016, lot 2 (the Hayne pair); Bruce McCashin Collection.
Condition Report: **In generally good condition with the expected minor scuffs and dings associated with age and use.
