Condition Report:
Each in good condition, especially given the age of the pieces, the silver and gold with areas of darkened oxidation and discoloration, although the reverse appears to have been recently polished. The pin fitting on the smaller brooch held in place with wire, and may benefit from the attention of a jeweler. French import marks for silver and 18 karat gold; the hairpin fittings composed of gilt-metal. Diamond weight stated in catalogue description approximated using measurements. The old mine-cut diamonds are approximately G-J color, VS-SI clarity with a few I1 clarity examples. The rose-cut diamonds are bright and lively. For wear as hair ornaments, detach the brooch pin fittings by turning the screws on the pins counter-clockwise, then screw the threaded hairpin ends into the threaded holes.
