Two Victorian gem-set rings; the first comprising a central old-mine cut diamond, grain-set in a lozenge motif to a rectangular segment, the rectangular segment flanked each side by a smaller rectangular segment, grain set with two split pearls, and a triangular segment grain-set with a split pearl, to a tapering 18ct gold ring shank with Birmingham hallmarks, dated 1888, size K ½; the second comprising a central round mixed-cut blue sapphire, grain set to a ring head with scalloped edge detail, the sapphire flanked each side by two grain-set rose-cut diamonds, to a 22ct gold ring shank with Birmingham hallmarks, dated 1879, size N ½.
