Two Wood Brisé Fans from the 1880's, the first painted with a spray of pink roses and buds against a cream background, the sticks with rounded tips and cut with two decorative bands, a pink rosebud being painted on each stick next to the pink ribbon. The verso is plain. Guard length 8.75 inches or 22cm. Together with another wood brisé, the pale sticks plain other than clear varnish to the guards, painted centrally with blue flowers and green leaves which form the initial "S". The verso is plain. Guard length 9.5 inches or 24cm (2)
