Two-door window cabinet - Rosewood and Oak. - 18th century

Rare beautiful 18th century vine closet. And a nice low size: Height 205 cm. Oak glued with rosewood. The vines - carving of the grape vines and peonies is exceptionally beautifully done. Deep and very skilfully. The rosewood has obtained a lighter honey colour that resembles walnut wood due to the high age. The style is Dutch Baroque. No lush Baroque with lots of curls but more modest Calvinist . Beautifully finished. See closeups. The interior is of oak wood. Two drawers that run well. A single slat replaced in the back. The original lock is still in it but the key does not work - it’s there as a handle. The doors close. The closet can be taken apart. Height 205 cm from flank to flank 168 cm.
