The larger with rectangular screen panel carved to one side only in deep relief with two registers of figure in scenery, the upper a dignitary wooing a lady on a balcony, the lower of warriors at a castle wall, the stand with further carved and pierced lacquer panel depicting vases and precious objects, raised on side supports with carved scroll details, 76cm high, 69cm wide, 25.5cm deep; the smaller example of very similar design, with vertical screen panel carved and undercut to one side only in deep relief with busy scene of figures and architecture within landscape, the stand with a frieze of similar design, raised on side supports with scroll-carved details.
