Two small Veneto-Saracenic brass inlaid bowls, probably Mamluk Syria, 15th century, of similar form on a flat wide base, tapering shoulder and straight, short neck, engraved to one with knotted Kufic inscription on a ground of interlace alternating with medallions, and to the other with panels of knotwork and interlacing vine, each 11cm. diam.
