SN 53817. 22" barrel bolt action .30-40 Krag rifle. US Springfield Model of 1896, Krag. Appears to have been converted to carbine configuration; lacks saddle right and is missing front barrel band and has had rear sling swivel removed. Rear tangent sight, blade front sight, and metal butt plate. Finish approximately 80% with considerable age wear throughout, along with service and age wear to the stock.
